The Student and Parent Experience
The student experience is at the center of what we do—and how we do it. Sometimes online education can feel impersonal. Not at The Brook Hill Academy! We believe that the student experience is paramount. Teachers meet with students over video call twice per credit to keep students on track and are in consistent communication with students via messaging about lesson materials, assignments, and exams.
In addition, through our Student Success Center, students have a consistent mentor through the duration of their studies. Our mentors assist students in enrolling and getting started at The Brook Hill Academy, help them solve any organizational or academic needs they may have, and support and monitor them in their courses.
Parents have a separate log-in from their children. Parents whose first language is not English have the ability to translate their entire portal into a language in which they feel more comfortable. Parents are able to see their student’s courses, grades, and overall progress though their studies. Teachers and parents also have in-platform messaging abilities to help ensure the best possible study outcomes.
All Brook Hill faculty and staff is committed to providing students and parents with personalized attention and responding to messages within a 48-hour time frame (maximum) during the school week. You’ll find that communication generally is much more frequent than that!
