General Studies Diploma Track
The General Studies (GS) Diploma is a slightly less rigorous option than the College Prep Diploma. The GS diploma is suitable for international students planning to attend university in the United States or in their home or another country, and for American students who want to enter the workforce after high school graduation. Depending on the school system of reference, generally a minimum of 13 credits are required for graduation, at least 4.5 of which must be completed at The Brook Hill Academy. The remaining 8.5 credits may be transferred from students’ local high school into the Brook Hill Academy and/or taken through Brook Hill core courses. General Studies Diploma students also have the option of taking additional optional courses at The Brook Hill Academy, including live online courses.
The minimum of 4.5 Brook Hill credits for this diploma usually include the following courses:

U.S. Government & Politics (0.5 credit)

The remaining 8.5 credits in the following subjects may be transferred from students’ local high school and/or completed at The Brook Hill Academy:
